A honeymoon in Bhutan is not a beach and a pool. It is a private lodge above a rice valley, a candlelit hot stone bath, a blessing from a monk in a temple older than the two of you combined. It is being somewhere where no one is in a hurry and nobody asks you to be.
We pair the lodges that matter, in Paro, Punakha and the Phobjikha valley, with mornings that belong only to you: a picnic by the Mo Chhu, a short walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple, if you are feeling brave, and an evening with a bottle of something good on your own terrace.
Every honeymoon journey is private, with your own guide and driver, and paced to how you actually want to travel. If you would like a traditional blessing ceremony, we arrange it quietly with a local lama and tell no one.
